
Érico de Melo
Advisor for International Relations, Consumers International
Érico is the Advisor for International Relations and the Leader of the Consumer Coalition to Stop Scams at Consumers International. A qualified lawyer, he brings experience in public policy and institutional relations, fostering collaboration across the private sector, public institutions, and civil society. He is responsible for articulating Consumers International’s presence in global fora, including UNCTAD, the OECD, and Davos events. Previously, Érico served as the President of the Association of Consumer Protection Agencies of São Paulo, representing approximately 400 agencies. In this role, he led consumer advocacy efforts with public authorities and industry stakeholders. Érico has experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, providing a comprehensive and strategic perspective on consumer protection and advocacy.
