The Lithuania Branch is a specialised network of e-money issuers and innovative payment service providers, all holding regulatory authorisation in Lithuania.
The EMA Lithuania Branch actively engages with key regulatory and financial bodies, including the Bank of Lithuania, the Ministry of Finance, and the Centre of Excellence in AML.
The EMA prioritises fostering innovation and advancements in financial technology, staying ahead of regulatory developments affecting e-money and payment services. Members benefit from insights into the Bank of Lithuania’s Dear CEO letters, ensuring they are well-informed on regulatory expectations and industry standards. The EMA also focuses on the implementation of BOL guidelines, implementing Instant Payments, and advancing Open Banking initiatives, thereby contributing to a dynamic and compliant financial ecosystem in Lithuania.
