The Ireland Branch is a specialised network of e-money issuers and innovative payment service providers, all holding regulatory authorisation in Ireland.
The EMA Ireland Branch meaningfully engages with the Central Bank of Ireland and the Department of Finance on policy matters impacting our sector. This engagement ensures that members’ perspectives are well represented in policy development and regulatory reform.
The EMA actively responds to consultations and meets quarterly to address key priorities, including payment services regulation, e-money regulation, anti-money laundering (AML) measures, Consumer Protection Code reform, and the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) / Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR). These efforts ensure that the EMA remains at the forefront of regulatory developments and continues to advocate effectively for its members.
